Enzo Fernandez will miss Wolves clash – Pochettino

Enzo Fernandez will miss Chelsea’s league game against Wolverhampton Wanderers due to injury.

The midfielder came off in the 32nd minute of the Blues’ Carabao Cup win over Newcastle United in midweek.

The Argentina international looked to be discovering himself in Chelsea’s team with the injury coming at the wrong time.

Speaking ahead of the fixture against Wolves, Pochettino says his country is set to see a doctor.

“Enzo is going to be out of the game against Wolves,” the Argentine trainer said.

“It was a hernia and he also didn’t feel well. We are going to give treatment with the doctor. I think he is going to be as soon as possible again with the group.”

Enzo has started 15 of Chelsea’s 17 league games this campaign missing just one league game.

The 22-year-old also has two goals to his name with both coming in the 3-2 win over Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this month.

Chelsea are 10th on the league table with 22 points from 17 games.
