Chelsea host Crystal Palace on Wednesday night in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge looking to bounce back to winning ways after their recent defeat.

The Blues sit in 11th place on the league standings while the visitors lie in 14th place, four points behind Wednesday’s opposition.

Chelsea approach this game off a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux last weekend.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace were held by Brighton and Hove Albion in a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park last Thursday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be confident ahead of the clash knowing they have won all of their last five games against the visitors and will hope to maintain that feat at home on Wednesday night.

Roy Hodgson’s side however are winless in their last six matches in the league and are in desperate need of the victory to prevent themselves from sinking deeper on the standings.

Christopher Nkunku found his first Premier League goal off the bench in Chelsea’s defeat at Molineux last weekend and maybe handed a start alongside Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling in attack for the Blues.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace will be boosted with the return of Eberechi Eze in attack after the playmaker was sidelined for weeks with a hamstring injury.

Chelsea look the better side for this game yet have been far from consistent in defence this season and will be at the optimal best to clinch all three points against Crystal Palace.

The match comes off at 7:30 pm.
