Tottenham Hotspur skipper Heung-min Son has sounded a wake-up call to his teammates after their 4-2 defeat to Brighton at Falmer Stadium on Thursday night.
The forward was involved in Tottenham Hotspur’s first consolation goal, assisting Alejo Veliz at the back post for a well-placed finish.
Coming from four goals behind, Ange Postecoglou’s men had been disastrous in defence and failed to cope with the intensity of the Seagulls away from home.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Son said: “This is not our way. We have to bounce back strong. It is disappointing but we have to move on as another game is coming up quick.”
The defeat leaves Ange Postecoglou’s men out of the top four places yet the Lilywhites can make amends when they host Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
“We have to take the positive energy from our last fifteen minutes into our next game because we play at home and we have to get the three points before the new year starts”, he added.
With 11 league goals and five assists in all competitions this season, Son will look to return to scoring ways and aid Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of success this season.
