Tottenham Hotspur host Burnley in the third round of the English FA Cup on Friday night in their first game after the new year.
The Lilywhites approach this match off a 3-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend while Burnley suffered a 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League last time out.
Ange Postecoglou’s men will be hopeful of kickstarting the new year with a victory as they have four wins in their last five games against Burnley, losing only once in the period.
Burnley however have had a disappointing start to the season domestically, yet can be hopeful of a season turnaround as they have lots of games to feature in.
With only one within their last six matches in all competitions, the Clarets will have to put up a stellar performance if they want to edge past a Tottenham Hotspur side that has lost only twice in the period.
Tottenham will have Oliver Skipp and Rodrigo Bentacur all available for this clash after their return from injury.
Meanwhile, Aaron Ramsey and Connor Roberts could be recalled to the starting XI by Vincent Kompany.
The clash comes off at 20:00 GMT.
