Carlo Ancelotti has confidence is me – Arda Guler

Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler says Carlo Ancelotti has expressed confidence in him since his arrival at the club.

The teenager only made his second appearance for the club on Wednesday night as they beat Atletico Madrid in extra time in the Spanish Super Cup.

Guler started the Copa del Rey game against Arandina before coming off the bench against Madrid’s rivals last night.

Speaking after the game, the Turkey international revealed he has had support from his manager and looks forward to getting better.

“I was injured for 5 or 6 months. I recovered from my injury and the coach immediately put me in the squad and let me play,” he said.

“He constantly shows and tells me his confidence in me. Hopefully, if I continue like this, everything will get better.”

Madrid will await the winner of the game between Barcelona and Osasuna to play the final of the Super Cup on Sunday.
