The hosts suffered a 1-0 defeat at Benito Vallamarin last weekend to Real Betis, meanwhile, Atletico Madrid approach this game off a 4-2 win over Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.

The advantage lies in the hands of the visitors ahead of this game as Diego Simeone’s men have three wins and a draw in their last five matches against Granada, losing once in the period.

Alexander Medina’s side however has only one win in their last six matches in La Liga and lies in the drop zone ahead of this game.

The hosts are in desperate need of a win to turn their season around yet the visitors will be aiming to replace Athletic Club who lie in fourth place on the standings and increase their hopes of competing for the title.
