Chelsea will look to book a place in the final of the EFL Cup when they host Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night in the second semi-final.

The Blues were stunned in the first leg encounter in a 1-0 result and will hope they can overturn the result on Tuesday night and await the winner of the Liverpool-Fulham clash.

Middlesbrough however approach this game off a 1-1 draw with Rotterham and will fancy their chances of upsetting the hosts, knowing they are unbeaten in their last three matches across all competitions.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team on the other hand have had a fine run after the start of the new year and are on course to turn their season around.

The Blues will not have either of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson in their fold for this game as the former is out due to injury, while the Senegalese is off on international duty at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

The visitors nonetheless will be missing Alex Bangura in this clash due to injury, and all eyes will be on Hayden Hackney after his stunning finish in the first leg for the visitors.
