Chelsea vs Aston Villa prediction, odds and preview

Chelsea will aim to continue their winning streak when they host Aston Villa in the fourth round of the English FA Cup on Friday night at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues beat Preston 4-0 in the previous round, while the Villans managed to run away with a 1-0 win at Middlesbrough.

Unai Emery’s side has been the better team in the last five meetings between both teams with three wins, losing twice in the period.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s team will not be dismayed by the head-to-head record as the Blues have been mesmerizing in their last six matches, losing only once to Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup.

The hosts have failed to score or win in any of their last two games against Aston Villa at home and will look to overturn this feat come Friday night.

Christopher Nkunku and Malo Gusto have still not fully recovered from injury and are not expected to feature in this clash.

Aston Villa nonetheless will heavily rely on Moussa Diaby and marksman Ollie Watkins for this game.
