The rivalry between Nigeria and Cameroon will be rekindled when the two teams meet in the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria made it through to the knockout round of the competition after finishing second in Group A while Cameroon relied on victory in their last group game to make the cut.

Despite their unconvincing start to the competition, the Super Eagles are still seen as one of the heavyweights for the title.

Nigeria played out a draw against Equatorial Guinea in their opening game before going on to win against Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau respectively.

Cameroon drew their opening game also before losing to Senegal and then beating Gambia to advance.

The last time the two teams met at the AFCON, Nigeria recovered from a 2-1 first half deficit to record a 3-2 win.

Jose Peseiro will be hoping his boys will build on the performance from their last game to topple the Indomitable Lions and progress to the quarterfinals.

Andre Onana is expected to start from the bench once again for Cameroon with his cousin, Fabrice Ondoa, keeping the post.

Kickoff is slated for 20:00 GMT.
