Senegal vs Ivory Coast prediction, odds and preview

Senegal will look to keep their title defence on track when they take on host nation Ivory Coast in the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday night.

The current champions finished top of Group C unbeaten, and Guinea were the last victim of their impressive run so far in this tournament.

Ivory Coast on the other hand were annihilated in their final group game against Equatorial Guinea in a 4-0 result and are far from favorites for this mouth-watering clash.

Nonetheless, the Elephants have the advantage in terms of the head-to-head record in this competition against the Teranga Lions, winning all two games in 1965 and 1986 respectively.

For this clash, Ismaila Sarr and Sadio Mane are expected to lead the line of attack for Senegal.

Meanwhile, Jean-Philippe Krasso and Frank Kessie are expected to be the stand-out players for the Elephants.
