‘Thomas Partey makes Arsenal better’ – Mikel Arteta

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says the squad desperately needs Thomas Partey to be healthy because the Ghanaian helps them improve.

Partey is getting closer to returning to competitive football after being sidelined since October.

The Ghanaian midfielder has been out of action since representing Ghana in the October international window, where he faced Mexico and the United States.

This season, Partey has missed 21 games in all competitions. He has only made five appearances this season, four in the Premier League and the other in the FA Community Shield.

“He always looks strong and very good. That’s not the issue, it’s that we need him,” said the Arsenal manager.

“And we need him fit and available because he makes us better.

“We are better when Thomas is in the team.”

Partey has begun team training with the rest of Arsenal’s squad, and Arteta is excited to have the Ghanaian fully available.
