Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag says Marcus Rashford is gradually rediscovering his best form following his latest goal.

Rashford dominated the news last week for all the wrong reasons, as he missed his team’s 4-2 victory over Newport County.

The England international was the subject of an “internal disciplinary matter” after being photographed out in Belfast earlier this week ahead of the Newport encounter.

After facing public attention, Rashford returned to the United starting lineup for the Premier League match against Wolves on Thursday evening, where he scored with only his third touch of the game.

“Sure! It was a fantastic team goal and we’ve scored more of such goals, from the build-up, many players involved, we get the switch and score a great goal,” Ten Hag said about Rashford’s goal.

“The Dutchman added: “I think what you see consistently is the last games, he has three goals and two assists in three or four games so the form is coming.”

The evening’s highlight, however, was Kobbie Mainoo’s 97th-minute amazing goal, which helped United to a stunning 4-3 triumph.
