Alaves vs Barcelona prediction, odds and preview

Barcelona will look to go three points clear of Atletico Madrid when they face Deportivo Alaves on Saturday in La Liga.

Both Barcelona and Atletico are stuck on 47 points with goal difference the only thing separating them.

Alaves have enjoyed a good campaign so far and have themselves in the 11th position after 22 games played in the top flight.

Luis Garcia’s men beat Almeria 3-0 in their last league game and are currently on a three-game winning streak.

A Vitor Roque second-half strike saw Xavi’s side claim all three points from Osasuna at home in their last game and the Blaugrana club will be looking to continue in that fashion.

Barcelona have lost just one of their last five games in the league, winning the other four while Alaves have one defeat and one draw in that run.

Since a 2-1 win in 2016 away from home, Alaves have not seen a win against the Catalan side in their recent games. They have also lost five of their last six home games against Barcelona.

Barcelona claimed a 1-0 win in the earlier fixture in January.
