Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has praised the efforts of his players in their win over Liverpool over the weekend.
The Gunners clinched a 3-1 win over the Reds which saw them close the gap at the top of the table to two points.
Two second-half goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard added to Bukayo Saka’s opener to claim the win for Arsenal.
Arteta opted for Jorginho and Kai Havertz in his lineup for the game with his selection paying off.
The two players, together with Martinelli, were lauded by the Spanish manager at the end of the game.
“I think he looks again really confident, really sharp, he was a real threat today not only for the goal that he scored and how intuitive and cheeky and streetwise he was to do what he did but as well Leo,” he said.
“I think Kai was unbelievable playing as a nine, it was a game that I thought he was going to fit in the same way Jorgi, you need big performances to beat these kinds of teams, I think all of them were at their best today.”
After the win over Liverpool at home, Arsenal play three consecutive away games in their next fixtures.
