La Liga president Javier Tebas has reiterated his belief in the plausible transfer of Paris Saint-Germain marksman Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid in the summer.
Mbappe has been a long-standing transfer target for the Spanish club and was close to joining in the summer of 2022.
However, the player eventually renewed his contract with PSG until 2024 which means he is out of contract at the end of the season.
Madrid expected to move again for him despite the snub two summers ago.
In an interview about Madrid’s chances of securing the services of the Frenchman, Tebas said: “I said it was around 50% some weeks ago, now is even more. 55/60% chances?, Yes, I think so”.
The Meringes have a well-balanced squad with experience and youth all mixed with quality across many departments, and the possible integration of the 25-year-old could see them dominate Europe for a long time, should Paris Saint Germain fail to keep their skipper.
“Every day that passes and Mbappé does not sign the new contract with PSG, the percentage increases”, he added.
Mbappe’s introduction to Madrid would definitely increase the quality of football in La Liga and increase competition and revenue for the league in many ways.
Also, the 25-year-old has over 30 goal contributions this season and could end up with many titles for the French club ahead of his probable move to Spain.
