Kylian Mbappe set for PSG exit

Kylian Mbappe has informed Paris Saint Germain that he will leave the club at the end of the 2023/24 season.

It is known that the conditions of his departure have not been completely agreed upon, with official confirmation expected in the coming months.

However, he has informed the French club’s executives of his intention to quit as a free agent with his contract coming to an end.

Mbappe’s current deal with PSG expires in the summer, and since January 1, he has been entitled to start pre-contract negotiations with other clubs.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a transfer to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid has a long-term interest in the 25-year-old striker, but it has been widely believed that Mbappe will have to accept a pay reduction to join the Spanish club.

In 2022, it appeared that he was on the verge of joining Los Blancos before his present Qatar-backed employers turned Mbappe’s head with a contract renewal offer that propelled him to the top of Forbes’ list of the World’s Highest-Paid Athletes.
