Romelu Lukaku says he is committed to achieving success at Roma this season although his loan deal with the Italian club is set to expire in June.

The Belgian forward joined Roma on loan in an eight million Euros deal and has had an impressive season so far with the Giallorossi.

The 30-year-old restored parity for the Italian giants in their 1-1 stalemate with Feyenoord in their first-leg Europa League playoff clash and has proved to be key this season, scoring 16 goals so far in all competitions.

Speaking to the press in a post-match interview about his contract situation, Lukaku said: “It makes no sense to discuss that now. I’m focused on helping Roma to win and then we will see at the end of the season”.

It remains uncertain as to whether Roma will secure Lukaku’s services permanently, yet his numbers are speaking for him and the club as the season progresses.

Also, Lukaku’s crucial equaliser secured his entry into the top 100 scorers in Roma history, and the striker could increase his goal tally before the end of the ongoing 2023/2024 season.
