Thomas Tuchel says that, while Bayern Munich has struggled with consistency this season, the club’s management has shown support for his new project.

The German champions suffered a third consecutive defeat this season to Bochum in the Bundesliga after a 1-0 loss to Lazio in the UEFA Champions League last week.

Following the recent defeat, pressure continues to mount on the shoulders of Thomas Tuchel, who according to reports could be sacked as the Bavarians sit eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the league standings.

Speaking to the press in a post-match interview about his future at the club, Tuchel said: “I feel the support, I know my relationship with CEO Dreesen and how we work together. He knows how much this situation annoys me and how much we are investing.”

Should Bayern Munich fail to progress to the next round of the UEFA Champions League and not win the Bundesliga, it would be the first time in twelve years since the German giants failed to win a title in a season.

However, Tuchel’s side will be aiming to avoid this feat and keep their title pursuits on track, as the league is far from over and the return leg of their Champions League tie against Lazio is to be held in Germany.

Bayern will face RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt in their next two league matches, and Tuchel’s decision-making in those games could prove to be a turning point or the end to his coaching career with the Bavarians.
