Arsenal will welcome Newcastle to the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday night, in what is expected to be a closely contested game.

The hosts approach this game off a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Porto in the UEFA Champions League in midweek after their 5-0 win over Burnley last week in the league.

Meanwhile, Newcastle played out a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last weekend and will hope they can return to winning ways after this clash.

The advantage lies in the balance as both sides have two wins in their last five matches against each other, drawing once and losing twice in the period.

Arsenal’s title hopes are on track, and the London-based side are unbeaten in their last five matches in the league.

However, Newcastle have only two wins from their last four league matches, and the Magpies know that a win could see them edge Brighton who lie in 7th place in the standings.

Leandro Trossard is expected to join Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in attack for the horse in this game.
