Wembley is the venue for one of the biggest games of the year in English football when Chelsea face Liverpool in the EFL Cup final on Sunday afternoon.

It will be a repetition of the 2021/2022 EFL Cup final where Liverpool were the better side and secured the title ahead of Chelsea on penalties.

Chelsea approach this game off a 1-1 draw with Manchester City last weekend while Liverpool edged past Luton Town in mid week.

Both sides locked horns a month ago in the Premier League with Liverpool putting four past the Blues at Anfield, and the Merseyside Reds are unbeaten in their last five matches against Chelsea with two wins and three draws in the period.

Beating Middlesbrough 6-2 on aggregate in the semi final was probably one of the biggest wins for the Blues who now approach this final unbeaten in their last three matches.

However, should Liverpool get their hands on the trophy on Sunday afternoon, Chelsea would become the first side to lose six Cup finals in a row in English football.

Cole Palmer is expected to be joined in attack by Nicolas Jackson in this clash as Chelsea eye revenge after losing the FA Cup final and EFL Cup final to Liverpool in 2022.

Meanwhile, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz will be the main targets in attack for the Reds in this match.

The game starts at 3:00 pm.
