We will support Antony – Erik ten Hag

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has backed Antony to rediscover his best form once again.

The Brazil international has fallen down the pecking order at the club as his struggles at the club continue.

Antony battled off-field issues during the summer which led to him missing the opening stages of the season. He has just one goal all season for the club in the 2023/24 season.

His performances have raised criticism and now reduced him to the bench. However, Teg Hag believes the Brazilian is capable of turning things around at the club.

“We will support him,” said the United manager. “I know what he is capable of. I have seen it.”

“I have seen for Ajax in 88 games as he scored 24 goals and 22 assists and was performing in the UCL.

“He was unstoppable. When he’s on top form, no defender can stop him.”

Antony came on in the final minutes of the Premier League game where United lost 2-1 at home to Fulham last weekend and is expected to feature in the FA Cup encounter against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
