Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane is confident the win over Lazio will be a turning point in their season.
The German side beat the Italian side 3-0 on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League to overturn a first-leg deficit and advance to the next stage of the competition.
Kane was twice on the scoresheet in the win at Allianz Arena, recording his 3rd goal of the season.
Bayern have come under strong pressure as they find themselves 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga title race.
However, the England international is hoping their recent victory could spark them to a different height.
“Hopefully we can use this as a turning point for the rest of the year,” he said after the game.
Quizzed on Thomas Tuchel leaving the club, the former Tottenham Hotspur man added, “It’s an unusual situation. As players we have a responsibility to achieve every win in every competition, not only for the coach but also for the club.”
Bayern turn attention to the weekend where they face Mainz in the Bundesliga at home.
