‘There’s no chance of a loan’ – Vitor Roque’s agent

The agent of Vitor Roque, André Cury, has dismissed reports of a possible loan spell for the youngster despite a slow start to life at Barcelona.

The forward arrived at Barcelona during the January transfer window having signed earlier but has played very little since his arrival.

The 19-year-old has featured just 11 times for the Blaugrana club, starting just two in that period.

He’s also scored two goals, both coming in the league.

However, his lack of minutes has prompted reports of a possible loan move away from Barcelona but that option has been dismissed.

“Vitor is very happy at Barça and there’s no chance for a loan,” Cury said in an interview with Spanish paper Què T’hi Jugues.

“He’s very good physically and mentally, and he is waiting for more minutes to prove it on the field.

“Xavi loves him very much.”

Cury also added that there have been advances made by teams in acquiring the services of the Brazilian.

“The truth is that there is a queue of clubs ready to pay €50m even now for Vitor Roque,” he continued.

“Vitor will not go anywhere even if he is loaned out. He is determined to succeed at Barça”

Roque will be looking to end the season on a high with Barcelona still chasing for the league and the Champions League.
