Jose Mourinho says he is ready to be on the touchlines again despite only losing his job earlier this year.

The Portuguese was relieved of his duties as manager of Italian side AS Roma in January after a poor run of results across all competitions.

Since his dismissal, the 61-year-old has not been on the touchlines despite receiving offers from Saudi Arabia.

The former Real Madrid boss, however, believes he is ready to assume a managerial role once again as he has no plans of resting.

“I’m ready to start again. I don’t need to rest or think as usually happens…I’m ready,” he told Fabrizio Romana in an interview.

“I feel strong and good, I’m really ready. But I don’t want to make the wrong choice.

“I have to be patient. My objective is to start again next summer.”

Since the commencement of his managerial career, Mourinho has been in charge at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and most recently Roma.

He led the Serie A sie to their first European title two seasons ago.
