One of the biggest matches of the 2023/2024 Premier League season sees Manchester City host Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium, in a highly anticipated clash.

The hosts beat Newcastle 2-0 in the English FA Cup prior to the international break but also drew stalemate with Liverpool in the league at Anfield three weeks ago.

Arsenal on the other hand edged Brentford in the 2-1 win in the league and also booked UEFA Champions League quarter-final qualification with a dramatic penalty shootout win over Porto prior to the break.

The Gunners will be aiming to keep their place at the summit in this game as they eye their first-ever league title in 20 years, yet Mikel Arteta’s side have not won in any of their last eight travels to the Etihad Stadium and will need to be at their very best if they want to strip the hosts of all three points.

The reverse fixture saw Arsenal beat the champions 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium in October, and Pep Guardiola’s side will look to avenge their loss last year away from home to the Gunners.

Also, Manchester City have the advantage in terms of the head-to-head advantage against Arsenal, winning thrice and losing twice in their last five matches, and the hosts beat Arsenal 4-1 in the same fixture last season at the Etihad Stadium.

For the Cityzens, John Stones and Kyle Walker remain out of this game after both players suffered injuries on the international break with England, yet starting goalkeeper Ederson could be back in the sticks for this mouthwatering clash on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka will be the main threat in attack for the visitors.

The match starts at 4:30 pm.
